Fallon Wynne Way received her business degree from The Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University in 2009. She was a co-caretaker of her mother (Yellow Rose founder, Dee Wynne) until her passing from multiple sclerosis in the spring of 2014. She is honored to be bringing back the Yellow Rose Gala in her mother's memory and is determined to assist in finding a cure in order to create a world free of MS. Her current all around focus in life is giving back. Way serves as Vice Chairman of The City of Kaufman's Keep Kaufman Beautiful Board, which focuses on community cleanliness as well as initiating beautification projects throughout the town of Kaufman. She is an appointed commissioner to the Kaufman County Historical Commission, which specializes in focusing on the preservation of the historical heritage of the county. Way is also an active board member on Texas Health Kaufman's Black Tie Ball, an event that raises funds for specialized projects for the local hospital. The newest and most exciting new role she has taken on is being a mother! Way and her husband had their first child last June. A little boy named Witten.
Charlie’s connection to Multiple Sclerosis started in 2008 when his dad was diagnosed with the disease. Along the way, Charlie has met other great people who suffer from it as well fueling his desire to help find a cure. His dad is his best friend and business partner. Their wealth management practice with SWS Financial Services, Inc. offices in the Park Cities. Away from the Yellow Rose Gala, you will find Charlie at the golf course, on a hunting trip, in College Station supporting his Aggies, or catching a Dallas sports team’s game.
Mr. Perry graduated from Hampden-Sydney College, and went to work in commercial real estate as a broker for the Henry S. Miller Companies headquartered in Dallas, Texas. He specializes in tenant representation serving both corporate and individual clients locally, statewide, and nationally. Prior to joining the Henry S. Miller Companies, Mr. Perry served as the Assistant to the CEO at Callaway Gardens, where he was involved in all phases of the resort operations. From day-to-day operating responsibilities to real estate needs, he helped implement an energy conservation program that resulted in energy savings in excess of $100,000/year. Outside of work, Mr. Perry enjoys playing an active role in community outreach through tutoring adult students through the GED Prep program at L.I.F.T. (Literacy Instruction for Texas).
Rachel Cannon currently serves as a Marketing Specialist within the Strategic Marketing Team at Interstate Batteries in Dallas, Texas. She is responsible for researching, identifying and recommending product line strategies and market placement. Rachel graduated from the University of Alabama (Roll Tide) in May of 2013 with degrees in Marketing and Management, then promptly went to work for IB. In her free time, Rachel enjoys getting involved and has a passion to serve, which is how she found herself teaming up with the Yellow Rose Gala. She is honored to be working with such an incredible group of people to bring awareness to progressive MS and raise support for research in order to find a cure!
Todd is Fallon Way’s brother and works as the Construction Technology Manager for Rogers-O’Brien Construction, Todd is responsible for the implementation of new technologies and developing innovative processes to advance the company’s methods of building. Over the years, Todd has been key to Rogers-O’Brien’s reputation as a technology leader in the construction industry. He has been a noted construction technology speaker at numerous construction technology symposiums. Todd has been around MS his whole life due to his mother Dee Wynne being diagnosed 6 months following his birth. He carries a deep passion for ridding the world of MS and knows that the Yellow Rose Gala Foundation is the channel that will achieve such a feat.
A Charlotte, NC native, Aaron Arant moved to Dallas, TX upon graduating from Hampden-Sydney College in May 2013. He pursued an Analyst job with EquityMetrix working in due diligence consulting in support of acquisition, divestiture, and financial transactions in the upstream and midstream oil and gas sectors. As a grandson to a woman who is affected by Multiple Sclerosis on a daily basis, Aaron is extremely passionate about raising awareness for MS and supporting research to find a cure. On the weekends, Aaron enjoys traveling as much as he can, adventuring to new golf courses around the DFW metroplex, and hanging out with friends
SARAH TAYLOR PEDERSON
Sarah Taylor Pederson is an Assistant Portfolio Manager with US Trust working in their Park Cities office. In addition to her role on the Portfolio team, Sarah also serves as a research associate for the US Trust REIT strategy. Sarah received her BBA from Southern Methodist University in 2009, and will be a candidate for the CFA Level I certification in December of 2015. Sarah grew up in Kaufman, Texas where she was close friends with Fallon and Todd Wynne. It was her close personal friendship with the Wynne Family that inspired Sarah to join The Yellow Rose Gala and the fight against MS.
Hunter Harrison is currently a Financial Analyst for CBRE’s Institutional Properties Group where he works on the disposition of industrial real estate assets. He graduated from Texas A&M University in 2011 and continued his education to receive a Master of Real Estate in 2013. Hunter grew up in Cleburne, Texas and is excited to be a member of The Yellow Rose Gala and the pursuit for the cure of Progressive MS.
Sarah Byerley is an Account Executive at Weber Shandwick, where she provides corporate communications counsel to global technology clients. Following her graduation from Vanderbilt University in May 2012, Sarah relocated to Dallas, although she remains a loyal Houston Astros fan. Sarah’s family has long been involved with MS-related philanthropy, and she is thrilled to be a part of the Yellow Rose Gala.
Shelby Strodel is currently a technology consultant at Credera where she works on various technical implementation projects designing and building custom software. She graduated from The University of Texas at Austin in May 2013 with a degree in Management Information Systems from the McCombs School of Business. She grew up in Dallas and is glad to be back in the city to be a part of the Yellow Rose Gala and curing Progressive MS.
Shannon Nelson joined the National MS Society in 2013 and serves at the Regional Director of Individual Giving for the South Central Region. Shannon brings diverse nonprofit experience to her role with previous professional experience at Pursuant, Austin College, the University of Oklahoma and the Dallas Museum of Art. During her tenure in the nonprofit sector, Shannon has served in numerous leadership roles and brings a deep understanding of philanthropy and strategic donor engagement. Shannon received a Master of Education from the University of Oklahoma and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of North Texas. Shannon is thrilled to partner with the Yellow Rose Gala Foundation to engage the Dallas community and fund vital progressive MS research.
Kirkland Taylor is currently the Service Drive Manager at Sewell Cadillac of Dallas where he is responsible for the growth and development of the Assistant Service Managers on his service drive. He is responsible for running an efficient and profitable service department where he will ensure the customers are taken care of and that the service provided exceeds their expectations. He graduated from the Mays Business School at Texas A&M University in May of 2012 and he really enjoyed his time there. He was an executive member of the largest, student run service project in the nation called The Big Event and was a member of the Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity. Kirkland grew up in Dallas and is glad to be back in his hometown, working full time and extremely excited and blessed to be a part of the Yellow Rose Gala.
Meredith Barnes is currently a campus recruiting coordinator at Deloitte, LLP. She helps recruit college students for the Deloitte intern program. She graduated from Texas A&M in May 2014. She grew up in Dallas, TX and loves being back! She is really enjoying being a part of the Yellow Rose Gala!
Kit Coffman is an associate at Peloton CRE working in tenant representation and corporate services. He graduated University of Montana in 2012 where he played lacrosse and studied business management. He is currently living in his hometown of Dallas and enjoys cooking BBQ, back country skiing and fly fishing. He is excited to help in the fight against progressive MS and to work with such a talented group of people.
Katherine Wynne, wife of Toddie Lee Wynne IV, has grown up around the Wynne family since a very young age. Dee Wynne (Yellow Rose founder) was like another mother to Katie, which is what has inspired her to assist in finding a cure for MS. Having been a teacher for 6 years, Katie knows the importance in educating and raising awareness about this illness as well as the efforts in finding a cure. She grew up in Kaufman, Texas and graduated from Texas A&M Commerce in 2008 with her teaching degree. She has recently transitioned from teaching to take on her new role in her life as a stay at home mom. Katie and Todd welcomed their new bundle of joy in 2015. A little girl named Kennedy. Katie is honored to be working with this amazing passionate group of young go getters to help fight against progressive Multiple Sclerosis
Meredith Byrnes is a Dallas native who currently lives in Houston, Texas and works for the National MS Society supporting special events. She graduated from Texas A&M in 2012 with a degree in Marketing. She hopes to see a cure for her Aunt and others impacted by the disease during her lifetime
Wesley Way is Director of Sales for UPG Incorporated, a specialty battery manufacturer in Coppell, Tx. A Texas native, Wesley loves sports and the outdoors. Whether it’s fishing, playing a round of golf, or hunting, he is happiest not being stuck inside. An active member in his community, he serves on the Kaufman Parks and Recreation board, NATM board, as well as the Yellow Rose. His connection to MS comes from his late mother in law, founder Dee Wynne. He looks forward to continuing her, his wife Fallon Way, and the whole Wynne family’s fight to end MS forever.
Wally currently lives in Dallas, TX and works as an associate at Open Realty Advisors. Prior to moving to Dallas, he attended the University of Georgia in Athens, GA where he studied accounting. Wally grew up in Little Rock, AR where he was very active in the MS Society’s work. He is very excited to continue working towards the ultimate goal of finding a cure for MS.
