POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

MUST READ BEFORE CONSIGNING - Thank you for your time! 

 

ALL items must be in excellent condition with no holes, tears, missing pieces, stains, etc.

ALL items must be in season and style that will sell today, NO OLDER than one-two years.

Clothing must be clean, ironed and ready for sale immediately. The Yellow Rose DOES NOT clean, iron or steam clothing. Any items that are damaged, unclean, covered in pet hair or smell like smoke will not be accepted for consignment. 

Your chances of selling an item go up significantly when it looks excellent! We are not a garage sale and if it didn't sell at your garage sale, it won't sell here either.

ALL other items must be cleaned, dusted and ready for sale or they also will not be accepted for consignment. All items must be working properly!

Please only 10 items per day.

When checking in consignment items, please be certain your name and telephone number are attached to all items. This is YOUR responsibility to make certain your items are labeled with your name so we know who the items belong to! 

When checking in clothing items, ALL items MUST be on a hanger. Each item must have its own hanger, not three shirts on one hanger! All pants and skirts must be on a seperate clip hanger. The Yellow Rose does NOT provide hangers for your items. If your items are not on hangers, they will not be accepted.

The Yellow Rose becomes a new store every day, every month! Consignment items will be sold for only 30 days. All prices of items are determined and set by the sole discression of The Yellow Rose. Once placed out on to the store floor for sale, the item is given 30 days to sell. If the item does not sell within 30 days, the item is reduced to 25% off or needs to be picked up by the Consignor.  If the item does not sell again at 25% off for an additional 15 days, the item needs to be picked up by Consignee or the item becomes the sole property of The Yellow Rose and is donated to charities supporting women in our community. If poor weather or other circumstances affect the sale of items, The Yellow Rose will continue to try and sell those items out on the floor for a certain number of days to be determined by the The Yellow Rose. Consignors are able to look up their personal account through the website www.MyResaleWeb.com to see their items that have sold or not sold. This personal account is set up at the first visit to The Yellow Rose.

The Yellow Rose can not be and is not held responsible for any lost or stolen items.

Consignments are accepted during regular business hours. There is no need for an appointment, but please be advised, Friday and Saturdays are the busiest drop-off days. Please do not leave any merchandise outside the store doors when The Yellow Rose is closed. We cannot guarantee we would ever receive those items.

SIGN will be placed on the front window of the store announcing we are "Accepting Consignments Today" OR "Thank you, We are FULL" when we are NOT accepting items that day.  Of course, you can shop every day when we are accepting or not accepting! Please check the website for up-to-date information!

The Yellow Rose ACCEPTS gently used furniture, women's clothing, fashion jewelry and accessories, shoes, purses, books written for or about women, cd's and dvd's, and small appliances. We also accept Children's furniture, gifts for women and home decorations for every room. Bring it in! We will tell you if we can sell it or not!

The Yellow Rose DOES NOT accept any children's clothing, women's socks, pajamas, bras, or hair accessories. Thank you for your understanding!

The Yellow Rose does not print or distribute checks. You are paid by CASH when you have a balance on your personal account any day of any month. Please call beforehand if your payout balance is more than $50.00 to make certain The Yellow Rose has the cash on hand in the store to pay you. We only keep a small amount of cash in the store for our safety. 

At ANY TIME the consignor may use any amount available on their personal account in order to make a purchase at The Yellow Rose whether or not they have any credit on their giftcard. The giftcard is a form of payment, it does not affect your ability to use your store credit at any time.

There is a $5.00 Administration Fee to consign with The Yellow Rose. This fee helps to pay for the high cost of rent in order to provide a place for you to sell your items. This fee is taken out of your personal account, once your account reaches $50.00 or more.
